Al
Batinah
Batinah stretches along the coast of the Muscat region. Al Batinah wilayats include Barka, Al Masnaah, Suwaiq, Khaboura, Saham, Sohar, A'Rustaq, Shinas, Liwa, Nakhal, Wadi AI Maawil and AI Awabi. Forts, castles and long beaches attract tourists and the place is famous for camel racing and bull fighting.
Sohar
The coastal city of Sohar was once an important Islamic port and the largest town in the country. Historically, the town is a maritime link between Oman, India and the Far East. "Sindbad" is believed to have lived here.
Visitors will be attracted to its large and functional souq with handy tailors, fruit sellers and fishermen vying for space, and its 13th century fort which stands apart with its four-storey walls and six towers, an imposing sight overlooking the bay.
Barka
The village is noted for its fruits, fresh vegetables and auction. There is a two-storied historical house named ‘Bait Na’ Aman.

Ras A'sawadi
It features broad beaches and small rocky islands.
Suwaiq / Rustaq / Khaburah / Nakhal
All these are interesting villages and wilayats to visit with forts, old houses, museums, magnificent mountains, hot springs and wadis.
Al Masnaah:
Al Masnaah is very popular with traditional fishing boats, attractive beaches and fascinating nature.
